I love ONETRAC. It was light and easy to use. I was performing bilateral breast reconstruction which requires ease of movement from one side of the bed to the other with avoidance of any contamination. This device was perfect! I usually spend some wasted attention ensuring the lighted retractor with the heavy cord does not fall off the surgical field or worse, burn the patient. ONETRAC worked better than our usual autoclaved fiber-optic retractor for inframammary approach to (partial submuscular) breast implant placement. It’s light weight, sturdy, easy to manipulate, has a very bright LED light to adequately illuminate the pocket, smoke evacuator/suction tube attachment is great design if needed (we did not need to attach suction to evacuate electrocautery smoke). Plus there is no need to worry about the clumsiness of attached fiberoptic cables or be concerned with the sterility of autoclaved reusable lit retractors. I recommend using ONETRAC retractor emphatically to plastic surgeons who do breast enhancement. It has become my “go to” retractor for breast implant placement."

ONETRAC allows the implanting surgeon/cardiologist to NOT wear a headlight. During a procedure the surgeon must be looking at the image screen of the fluoroscopy. If the headlight is on it washes out the screen image thus it must be turned off. Then to look in the pocket the headlight must be turned on – by someone else! What a pain. With ONETRAC you make an incision and develop the pocket without the need for any supplemental light."

I have been using the ONETRAC lighted retractor for two years now. Many of my implants are sub muscular and I have found that on those procedures this device shaves a minimum of 30 minutes off the procedure time. If there is any bleeding it probably cuts the procedure time by more than an hour as it makes finding sites of bleeding a quick and painless endeavor. I also think that this device dramatically reduces the risk of damaging a lead when freeing it from adhesions as it dramatically improves visualization, even in a subcutaneous pocket."
